Hikari rolled her eyes and smiled at her friend's temper tantrum-- She was used to it by now. "Of course you are, Jun. And of course no one can beat you," she replied, amusement tainting all of her words. While most people would be annoyed by his childish actions, Hikari found them all too amusing.
"See! There's always a bright side!"

"Exactly! No one can beat me!" He proclaimed while thumping his chest with his chest, smirking profoundly. His Torterra had to wonder sometimes what went off in Jun's head that would give him such delusional thoughts and ideas, but it wasn't like he didn't believe in his trainer; Jun was just... special.
Very special indeed.
"I guess there is. But after your battle I'll have to go back down this stupid mountain and cross the ocean. Why is our region so big?!" Whine grumble whine.

Hikari stared at her friend blankly. Apparently, her sarcasm had gone right over her head. She sighed. Well, that was Jun for you. At least he had confidence.
"Well, you wouldn't have that problem if you'd already gone to Iron Island~ At least say hi to Riley for me when you get there! And speaking of other places, you've already been to Sunyshore, right? What's the gym leader there like?"

"Well I didn't know about Iron Island until you told me about it just now!" That may be because when Jun entered Canalave, he headed straight for the gym, got his badge, and left. You know, always on the move, and what not. He turned to face Tor'. "Remind me next time not to ask mom for training advice."
Then Jun raised a brow.
"The leader st Sunyshore? Kinda slow, very sulky, didn't talk much, kept to himself, easily defeated. ...More easily than any other gym, if I thought about it. Honestly, he didn't seem really into the battle, kinda distracted." His speech went fast at first as he listed the traits, then slowed down- but not much- when he mentioned the "distracted" part. "He's weird."

"That's because you rush too much," she replied in a sing song voice. "You should really take the time to explore. I bet it would do you some good."
Hikari frowned and swatted his arm. "Jun! It's not nice to speak like that about other people. Especially since you don't know what he's really like. You only battled him once. And he can't be that easily defeated if he's the last gym leader before the Elite Four... Maybe he was just sick or something!"

"Explore? I don't have time for that! That'd take up so much of my time, I mean, I only really have time for training and daydreaming about defeating my dad, no big deal! Anything else is just unimportant to my goal!" A pout was formed along his lips while he crossed his arms, not realizing that they finally had reached the city.
"Yeah; sick in the head! The guy felt like a mindless zombie or something! Not human at all!"

Hikari frowned. Things like that were exactly what she was talking about earlier, but she didn't think it would do any good to bring the subject back up. Jun was as thickheaded and stubborn as he was fast, and that's saying a lot.
"That's rude," she admonished before she looked forward and realized that they had arrive. "Oh, we're here! Hmm, that was a longer walk than I thought it would be..."

"It's not rude when it's true!" He fought back, but he was wrong. Of course he was, he just didn't know it yet. "Yeah well, that's because you're slow, remember? At least not as slow as To--"
And as though on cue, the grass starter came into the scene, pushing Jun into the snow once more, but smiling up at Hikari as if he was innocent. Yeah, innocent. Not a word Jun would use for his special partner.

Hikari laughed and walked over, petting the top of Tor's head again. She always did have a soft for Jun's starter. She nuzzled the to of Tor's head before giving it a quick kiss before skipping over to her friend.
She knelt down next to him and held out a glove hand, giggling. "Need some help up~?"

Tor' smiled happily at Hikari's kindness, she was a sweet trainer and Tor' knew that. Now if only Jun could get a clue... Speaking of Jun, he snarled from his spot, but took Hikari's hand in his, his face red- whether it be from embarrassment or anger, only Jun would know as Tor' tried to look as innocent as a child.

Hikari giggled more and helped her friend up. "You seem to fall often!" She grinned, knowing that he'd object, and she looked around, seeing the snow everywhere. An idea crossed her mind and she scooped up a handful of snow.
"Hey, Jun?" she laughed and blew lightly onto the snow, making it dust his face lightly.

"I do not!" Yep. "I-I just don't have the best balance or most loyal Pokemon, apparently! It's not my fault!"
Then he eyed the snowball. Something was up.
"Yeah Hikari?" he actually asked slowly, cautiously, until he felt some snow get on his face. He pouted.

"Awww, cheer up buttercup!" she said in a sing-song voice, bringing her fingers to force his pout into a smile.

"Buttercup?!" He asked, irritation plain on his face as day, but his shout ended up before muffled as Hikari started forcing his pout into a smile. He wasn't sure why, but for some reason, his heart started beating faster than before. But he figured it to be because of his irritation.
Yeah. That was it.
Before he decided to debate even further in his head, he grabbed Hikari's arms and tried removing her fingers from his face. "H-Hikari!"

"Juuun," she whined in return, still laughing at his irritation. She always found him funny, even when he was trying to be serious. It was one of the things she liked best about him.
