{N}ame: Shikimi
{A}ge: 22
{G}ender: Female
{W}hereabouts: Mistralton City, Unova
{B}irthdate: February 21, 1989
{T}rainer class: Elite Four
{P}okemon: Cofagrigus, Jellicent, Golurk, Frosslass, Drifblim, and Chandelure.
{H}istory: Shikimi learned to read at an early age, which fueled her love for writing and literature. She grew up as an only child; her father was a pilot for the city's airport and her mother was basically a housewife who sold crafts. Therefore, she was encouraged to explore her creative side and her imagination expanded. She especially enjoyed ghost stories in her youth, for the mysterious value of them. She became known as quite the bookworm, always reading, and eventually, writing. Shikimi usually didn't let people read her work, but just found pleasure in recording the stories she made up - just to see her progress flourish.
When she was old enough to start her pokemon journey, she ventured into Celestial Tower, where the inspiration for her first major novel came from. It was only when a fellow friend of hers picking through her bag that she was discovered and given the encouragment to try and get published. She signed a deal with one a major publishing company at the age of 17. After becoming such a success, Shikimi decided to be more open with her writing - and in doing so, improved her skills. She doesn't always mention what scenes came straight from experience if anyone asks, as her way of guaging how well-written her work is in an objective manner, but doesn't mind sharing the inspiration for drabbles she writes on the spot.
With as much focus as she has on writing, Shikimi is a formidable trainer - after all, she wouldn't be an Elite Four if she wasn't. Thoughout her pokemon journey as a teen, she grew to love and respect her pokemon. As ghost-types, she was always eager to try and understand them so that she could learn their stories, and in a way, she has found a way to communicate them. It is because of how much she appreciates them that she trains them diligently, to keep them from getting hurt in battle. When she was approached for the position as an Elite, she took it, if only for the great experience that could come from it.
{P}ersonality: Shikimi is a rather imaginative individual, always with pen and notebook. Despite this, however, she likes to write straight from experience for the sake of making her novels "realistic" and more relatable. Thus, she is up for trying new things all the time. There's a certain level of innocence she seems to have retained, most likely because of her optimistic look on life.
Although she seems to be a sweet and causal person towards challenging trainers, there's a side to her that only her peers and co-workers tend to see. Turns out... she's a bit of a fangirl, often writing fanfiction on the side for fun under an amateur alias. This means she also knows a lot about what fans tend to think of them. If that is not enough to attest to her impish nature, she tends to tease her collegues, especially aboutfan ships romantic issues. She's rather good at "bending the truth" and gets a kick out of making the other elites - especially Grimsley - squirm from time to time.

{S}how me your skills:
In the wee hours of the night, Shikimi sat down at her desk. "Wow," she heaved a sigh of relief after a busy day, crossing her legs and pulling out her little red notebook and pen. "What amazing trainers I met today!"
The young lady flipped through pages and pages of loopy scrawls, squinting for a certain phrase she had on her mind. It was rather hard to see, as she needed to get the lightbulb of her lamp replaced - but ah, the soft glow from her favorite companion hovering over her shoulder fixed all that right away. "Thank you, Chandelure. Now, let's see..."
Flip. Flip. Flip. She could've sworn she wrote it down - Ah!
She brought the book closer, just to confirm. Mhmm. This was it. "I really think I could incorporate this one into that story I'm currently writing. It played out better than I was thinking it - quite a difference seeing something happen in real life can do, hmm?"
Filled with excitement, she sat up straight and placed the book down beside her laptop, still open to the page, while she turned it on. "All right, then! Let's see where I last left off - Oh! What's this?" Turns out, she recieved some new mail notifications. When she opened one up, a sly grin graced her lips. "Heh, it looks like I got some new comments, didn't I..."
Shikimi stood up. "Maybe, this can wait. Oh, Grimsleeeey!"
