I had to get away from the city. The buildings all seemed like they were closing in, and I was being tied down to await my judgement for the things I have done.. The crimes I have committed before the fall if Team Rocket... Even now, years later, they haunt me to the point where sleep is but a myth in the eyes of even the most cunning mime. Even while awake I was tormented. Hallucinations of those people.. Those Pokemon... It was as if I was the side show freak, forever shackled to the confines of shame. But.. This changes nothing. Not even my new comrades at the Indigo Plateau. I decided to run away, to drop my position of Trainer #1 and travel to other regions, hoping to find something to put my soul at ease... That moment has yet to arrive. I found myself in the Sinnoh region, far from the reaches of Team Rocket and the Johto Elite police force. However, in doing do I have taken a large step towards the International Police, but I need not worry about them. They are too busy hunting down these blokes known as Team Galactic. Tacky amateurs, they are bringing too much attention to themselves. But, I must thank them. They allow me to work in secret.. Under the radar of the International police. I am a Tarot Card reader of sorts. "Gee... I wonder who is going to wander into my sanctum today, Kachina.." I say in a low tone, rubbing the head of my ever faithful Xatu. That is where it hits me. The psychic waves are becoming much more restless, meaning a "customer" is coming close. "Kachina! Warn the others, my dear. We have company arriving!" I say to her as she obediently scurries to the back of the room. I picked a good location, the Solaceon ruins, to set up shop. A lot of people pass through here. And with the exceptional amount of rooms, changing location is easy. As if on cue, steps could be heard from down the hall, coming closer with every second.

"Thank you so much." Gardenia said, probably for the second time, to the Day Care couple. They had waved the fee for her Breloom. I guess they heard through the grapewine that the gym was undergoing renovation which meant, at least for the moment, Gardenia was broke. However, Emerald (the Breloom) couldn't seem to get along with her Roserade, causing all sorts of issues when it came to training. A month or so ago Gardenia had traded for the Breloom, and just now it was warming up to her. But her team? Not so much. Anyhow, she wandered away from the Pokemon Day Care to find herself stationed in front of a building she'd never seen before? Was there a new business in Solaceon? The eye decal over the door had sparked her interest, and she wandered inside, just to find out what the deal was.

Solaceon - Will
"Hello, Gardenia. Welcome to the Harlequin Ruins.. Please, come in" I said, taking a bow, welcoming in the guest. I then snap my fingers, and Marceau the Mr. Mime scurries in with a lively floral patterned chair. Marceau turns to her, and pats on the chair, signaling to have a seat with a big grin. "I have heard much about you, particularly about your hardships with the gym... Tragic. Simply tragic, my dear" I say sympathetically, walking towards the chair adjacent to hers, a table separating them. And on the center of that table, a deck of cards rests. "Might I interest you in a reading..?" I say gently, shuffling the cards around. "I tell great fortunes, and I am hardly incorrect.. Actually, I am never incorrect" I boast quietly.

Gardenia jumped a bit at the greeting of this strange man in purple, and her confusion only grew as he called her by name. "How did you--" But even her question was cut short as she was ushered into a chair by his Mr. Mime. She wasn't too sure if this was friendly welcome or forced business. "No really, it's not that big of a deal. I have some financial issues, sure, but who doesn't, you know? Every once in a while? Once the gym reopens I'll be right back up on my feet again, heh." Gardenia explained. "Speaking of which how did you know all of this? Oh, I see, you must be a psychic. That makes sense. Well, I don't usually want to taunt the ways of fate, but I suppose, since you've been so kind I'll take a reading. Try not to give me too big of a spoiler, please."

I chuckle, shuffling the deck around, spreading the cards out on the table. "You would be absolutely correct, I am indeed a Psychic. I hail from the Johto region" I say, giving her a soft smile. "Now, if you would be so kind, choose 3 cards, and do not turn them over" I say, looking her deep in the eyes, the psychic waves in the room slightly intensifying. Marceau took position by the door, making sure no one would intrude on the reading. "And once you have your three, keep them in front of you and do not turn them over" I say, awaiting her decisions. It has been a long time since I have done a reading for a gym leader, but this one shows promise.

"Oh, Johto sounds like a nice place to live!" Gardenia did as the Harlequin said, extracting a single card from the top, bottom and middle zones of the deck, making sure not to draw from the extreme poles of the stack. She then slid them carefully in front of her, and spread them so they were directly in front of her, and at equal measurements apart from each other. "Done is done," Gardenia said brightly, returning her hands to her lap. "What's next?"

I smile, and hover my hand over the far right card of her spread. "This... Is where the fun begins" I say, a slight chuckle in my voice. I flip it, revealing whatever secrets it held inside. "Oohh... You got the fool.." I say, looking up at her. The fool card is depicted as a man standing at a cliff, overlooking the ocean. He is looking at the sky, interestingly enough. "This signifies the utmost purity. You are pure of heart, body and soul.. The perfect innocence.." I say, allowing her to take in all of the information, my hand steadily hovering over the center card. "Any questions before we move on..?"

Gardenia was certainly never aware she was that... virtuous. Sure, she tried to do as much good as she possibly could, but, "pure of heart, body and soul,"... wasn't that going a bit far? And maybe she wasn't to comfortable with this man judging the purity of her body. Nevertheless, she put it all aside and said, "Let's keep going."

I smile slightly, noticing the look of confusion on her face. "Well... I sense something a little... Darker..." I say, flipping over the next card. "You got the Moon... A card of deception" I say, a low chuckle escaping me. "What this card says is that nothing is ever what it seems... Is anything you know a reality..? Are your friends really your friends or are they a simple illusion created by frustrated emotions swelling up from within..?" I say, looking her directly in the eye. "Or perhaps... Are YOU the one who has been victim to an illusion..? The one who is being lied to... But, we will save that for the next card..." I say, making the third card hover and flip itself over very slowly, as if it is doing it on it's own. "The Tower... A very sinister prophecy, indeed..."
